Publié pour accompagner l'exposition consacrée à l'artiste au Centre Pompidou, ce livre présente une centaine de dessin pour la plupart inédits mettant l'accent sur les dix dernières années de la carrière d'Alina Szapocznikow disparue prématurément. Une mise en page tendue vers le haut, un traitement typographique fort, la couleur d'accent rouge et le marquage à chaud du titre sur la couverture se réfèrent au travail de l'artiste et à sa reflexion sur le corps humain.
